The Red Room is in our beautiful Georgian manor house with 15 acres of stunning grounds, including a lake, a swimming pool, and a tennis court. The manor house is home to the Herford family, who inhabit a separate floor, and have been welcoming guests to Upper Court for more than 40 years.
We welcome couples, and solo adventurers. If necessary, The Red Room can be interconnected with the Lake Room bathroom, joining the two to accommodate a group of up to four, such as a small family. The interconnecting door is blanked off if not in use.
The Red room is accessed through the ensuite shower room, which gives you both a shower cubicle, as well as a WC and basin.
The bedroom itself is tastefully furnished in English Country House style, with an elegant antique four-poster king sized bed, and and awe-inspiring views of our Lake. With a comfortable armchair, a choice of reading materials and teamaking facilities, you can sit and enjoy a quiet moment of piece.
The Red Room is also suitable for business travellers looking for a country retreat with quick access to the M5, Tewkesbury (4 miles), Worcester (20 miles), Oxford (1 hour) and Birmingham (1 hour).
Please note that, due to the nature of the setting, the Red Room is not suitable for children aged 2-10. Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs in the Manor House. They are, however, welcome in our Coach House 16 and Dovecote cottages, so please do enquire for further information.
Breakfast is available as a booking extra. Please enquire for more information.
